June 18, 2009 "Keira wants attention"

Keira decided to get my attention by yelling aaahhh and waiting for me to respond.

June 17, 2009 "Daddy's Little Terps"

I remembered today that we had bought this cheerleader outfit back when we were pregnant with Keegan. Keira looks so cute in it, and they both loved the pom pom. Go Terps!

June 16, 2009 "Keegan's first cone"

Keegan loves ice cream, but has never eaten it out of a cone. So we tried the cone today. It took him a while to figure out that he could eat the cone. He just kept sticking his tongue further down into the cone to reach the ice cream. He was a mess when he finished, but he looked so cute.

June 14, 2009 "Action shots"

These are pictures of Keira walking from the gate to the sofa, which is about 15 feet. She's getting pretty good with walking. A lot more adventurous.

June 11, 2009 "High chair pics"

Keegan was so tired, but he wasn't going to drop his garlic bread.
This is Keegan first thing in the morning. He's like his mom...not a morning person.
Keira loves her monkey, Bongo
"What, are we not supposed to be back here?

June 10, 2009 "More steps"

We've been trying to get as many videos of Keira's first steps as possible. She of course does great all day when I'm home alone with them. But when daddy comes home and is available to man the camcorder, she suddenly decides she likes to crawl better.

June 10, 2009 "I'm NOT a horse"

Keegan is ready to swim...in his new big boy training pants. Isn't he cute?
Keira says, "I'm not a horse, Keegan"
Keira gets revenge
"Come back here...I want to ride the horse"

After swimming

June 9, 2009 "Keira's first steps"

Yesterday, Keira took her first official steps. But I couldn't get it on video till today. She's been taking 1 or 2 steps between furniture for the last few days, but yesterday she walked over to me from the kitchen island. Things are about to get a whole lot more interesting! Yeah Keira!

June 6, 2009 "The new crab pool"

When my mom was here last week, she introduced the kids to swimming in rubbermaid containers and inflatable infant bath tubs. And they loved it! But we didn't have anything big enough for the two of them, and I wanted something that had a cover so that when they were done swimming (but not done playing outside), I could cover it and not worry about them falling in when I wasn't looking. So we bought this big plastic crab that is supposed to be a sandbox, but it works just as well with water. And I figured we could also get some of those plastic balls and use it as it ballpit in the cooler months.

Pretty as a princess

June 4, 2009 "Feeling better"

The kids are feeling better today. Other than runny noses, they are back to their old selves.
Keira no longer uses a binky...we stopped that habit before it got too severe. So now she puts Keegan's puzzle pieces in her mouth and sucks on them like they were a binky. She's very resourceful.
Our little daredevil

June 3, 2009 "The day after"

Jen and the KSC's would like to extend a belated birthday wish to Granddad, whose birthday was yesterday. Of course, the day my mom leaves to go back to PA, the kids get sick. Complete with fevers and COPIUS runny noses. So they were in no mood or condition to be photographed. But, today is much better. They are still a little snotty, but no fevers and in much better moods. As you can see from the below photos and video. We hope Granddad had a wonderful birthday and look forward to seeing everybody at the end of the month!
The sign is a little hard to read...it says, "Happy Birthday, Granddad!"
Our makeshift swimming pools.

Keira loves the water!

Lunch on the picnic table

Keegan figured out that if he went down the slide with a wet swimmy diaper, that he could go much faster. It was hilarious.
